Overview
An important part of NEBCA’s mission is education. NEBCA fosters education in several ways:
- Has two committees to bring educational opportunities to members and the public
- Maintains a library of books and videos covering a range of herding related topics (training, health, dog lore, trialing, …).
- Publishes educational articles in the newsletter
Education Committee
- Organize in-person learning events and clinics
- Offer guidance and funding to members for hosting their own events.
- Foster mentoring opportunities for members to help each other
- Generate educational materials
Webinar Committee
Organize and run on-line learning events. These webinars cover a wide range of topics presented by top names in the herding world.
- Events usually occur in the winter months and are listed on the NEBCA website webinar schedule
- They are open to members and non-members
- Attendees must sign up in advance
- Members will usually get a reduced fee
Please send suggestions on topics and possible presenters to the committee.
Funding for Educational Events
Members may request funding for their own educational events from the educational committee.
